‘Friends of Lionel Messi’ took on ‘Friends of Marcelo Salas’ in Santiago, Chile last night in a benefit match that saw the likes of Cafu, Lucio, Edgar Davids, Ariel Ortega, the Milito brothers, Juventus new boy Arturo Vidal, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Radamel Falcao all turn out in order to raise money for the victims of heavy snowstorms in southern Chile.
As could’ve been expected with a roster like that, the goals flowed thick and fast all evening, with ‘Amigos Messi’ thoroughly whooping ‘Amigos Salas’ by 7 goals to 2.
