Everton 1-1 Hull City – Premier League – 3rd November 2014
A second-half strike from sub Sone Aluko stopped the rot for Steve Bruce’s Hull side and gave them a share of the points at Goodison Park.
The hosts had started well and eventually opened the scoring 34 minutes when Romelu Lukaku fired home after great work from Kevin Mirallas. However, the Tigers always looked threatening on the break and eventually, after the break, the equaliser came. Sub Aluko recieved the ball from Nikica Jelavic before bamboozling Sylvain Distin and firing part Tim Howard in the Everton goal. The visitors had more chances to score again but ultimately both sides would have to be content with a point each.
Everton find themselves all the way down in 11th spot while the Tigers move clear of the drop-zone and into 17th place.
