Brentford’s clash with Sheffield United at Griffin Park saw both sides find the back of the net in a 1-1 draw.

However, the Championship also saw both sides have a player sent off after a ridiculous bit of nonsense involved Bees’ midfielder Ryan Woods and Blades’ goalkeeper Jamal Blackman.

After Chris Mepham had equalised for the hosts on 69 minutes, Blackman picked the ball out of the net only for an impatient Woods to do his best to get the ball off his much taller opponent.

Woods appeared to grab Blackman around the net before the ‘keeper shoved the striker back. Eventually, referee Jeremy Simpson intervened before giving both eejits their marching orders.

Bit silly, eh?

The 1-1 draw sees Sheffiedl United in ninth spot, one point off the play-off places, with Brentord two places and sixth points further back.
