The Brazilian top-flight brought with it scenes of a delightfully slapstick nature during the Classico dos Milhoes clash between Vasco da Gama and Flamengo on Saturday evening.
The two Rio sides ground out a 1-1 draw at the Mane Garrincha stadium, but it was the ambulance on duty that stole the show by breaking down in the middle of the pitch during the match.
Unable to turn the engine over, several players from either side were roped in to give the van a push start…

The ambulance had actually entered the field after Vasco midfielder Bruno Silva had been knocked unconscious in an aerial collision.
Thankfully, Brazilian media later reported that Silva was discharged from the hospital on Sunday morning after undergoing a series of tests overnight.
