Yes, it may be a rather long-winded advert for a credit card company, but Everton have produced a cracking little ‘rags to riches’ promo video centred around Ross Barkley’s rise through the ranks at the club.
Shot in point-of-view style (not unlike Nike’s ace ‘Take It To The Next Level‘ advert from 2008, as directed by Guy Ritchie), the snappy video charts Barkley’s ascension from the dog turd-strewn parks of Wavertree to playing under the floodlights at Goodison.
